Participants will learn how to:

  • Insert text and graphics from other files and programs, including Microsoft Office.
  • Work with text frames and graphics in Adobe InDesign.
  • Employ tools for editing text and graphics.
  • Create typographic ornaments.
  • Link text boxes in a logical sequence.
  • Build a personal library of useful assets.
  • Create custom styles, symbols, characters, graphics, fonts, and colors.
  • Save time by using tools for rapidly switching between custom styles.
  • Create patterns for repetitive project elements.
  • Work with colors across various palettes.
  • Work with multi-page documents.
  • Handle numbering and sectioning.
  • Manage linked external files.
  • Prepare documents for printing.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with vector and raster graphics is beneficial but not mandatory.
