Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A major financial services firm sought to transition from a leading industry BI solution in one of its key products to an Open Source system (Superset) to significantly reduce licence costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted multiple project meetings with the client to comprehensively understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this assessment, we developed a detailed Statement of Work to guide and track project progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting requirements for each report type. The consultant recommended modifications to the data stores to optimise the use of Superset and ensure peak performance, while providing the implementation team with clear guidance. After optimising the data store and pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and its customers. To present data as requested, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants have been creating new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the client's organisation to maintain the dashboards and reports. The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the client's business units and their end-users. Highlighting the project's success, it has been expanded and extended to include additional products and end-users.
