Superset Consulting Requirement A major financial services firm aimed to transition from a proprietary, industry-leading BI solution to an Open Source alternative (Superset) for a key product, with the goal of significantly reducing licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg held multiple project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, potential risks, and the technical landscape. Based on these discussions, we developed a detailed Statement of Work to guide and monitor the project’s progress. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs for each report type. To ensure optimal use of Superset and peak performance, the consultant recommended modifications to the data stores and provided guidance to the team implementing these changes. Once the data store and data pipeline were optimized, our consultants began developing and deploying a range of reports based on established requirements and new requests from the business and its customers. To facilitate the requested data presentation, custom plugins were created to enhance interactivity, including features such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants have been developing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is transferred to the client organization to support the maintenance of these dashboards and reports.
The project is currently ongoing and has received positive feedback from both the client’s business units and their end users. Demonstrating its success, the project has been expanded to encompass additional products and client segments.
