Superset Consulting Requirements A prominent financial services firm sought to transition away from an industry-leading BI solution in one of their core products, moving instead to an Open Source system (Superset) to achieve significant reductions in licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted multiple project meetings with the client to fully understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this analysis, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to help guide and track the project. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture to meet the reporting needs for each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended adjustments to the data stores to facilitate optimal use of Superset while ensuring peak performance, and provided guidance to the team implementing these changes. After optimizing the data store/data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation (such as drill-down features).
Outcome The consultants have been creating new dashboards while also ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer's organization to maintain the dashboards and reports.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer's business and their end clients. To underscore the success of the project, it has been expanded to include more products and end clients.
